The Hengaw Human Rights Organization reported that two Afghan citizens, Ansar Nami and Nazif Rasul-Khawanda, were secretly executed at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad on Wednesday morning.
The two men, arrested two years ago on murder charges, were executed without a final meeting with their families.
The Iran Human Rights Organization says the number of Afghans executed in Iran reached 84 in 2025.
