The Afghan Journalists Center reports that Taliban Ministry of Justice forces have closed the Rah-e-Farda radio and television office in Kabul and arrested its owner.
The closure was carried out alongside the shutdown of a local influential figure’s office in the same building. The Journalists Center has strongly condemned the move as a violation of media freedom.
Taliban had previously suspended the station’s broadcasts last year.
