Afghanistan Cricket Team Defeats United Arab Emirates by 109 Runs

The Afghanistan national cricket team defeated the United Arab Emirates by 109 runs in their first one-day practice match on Tuesday.The match was played in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan won with the help of a brilliant performance from Yamin Ahmadzai.The UAE won the toss and elected to field first. Afghanistan were all out for 214 runs in 47.2 overs. The target was not difficult for the UAE, but Yamin Ahmadzai had other plans. He took five wickets, including the key wickets of UAE captain Ahmed Raza and opener Usman Khan In the second innings, the UAE were all out for 105 runs in 30.4 overs. Afghanistan’s best bowler in the second innings was Basir Shah, who took four wickets.

The victory is a good start for Afghanistan’s new-look team. They are preparing for a series of one-day matches against the UAE and Ireland in January.
