The Taliban’s foreign minister called the Doha meeting inconclusive

Amir Khan Motaghi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban, says that he closely followed the Doha meeting on Afghanistan and claimed that this meeting did not have any specific results.

Mr. Motaghi expressed this in his meeting with Roza Otunbayeva, the United Nations Special Representative in Afghanistan and the head of the UNAMA office.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Taliban’s foreign ministry, wrote on the X network that Amir Khan Motaghi expressed hope that the meetings on interaction with Afghanistan would have good results.

It was further quoted from Mrs. Otunbayeva that if the participating countries agree, more meetings will be held in Doha to create a better understanding between the United Nations and the Taliban government.
