Loss of more than two thousand cattle due to heavy snowfall in Badghis and Faryab

Local sources in Badghis and Faryab provinces have reported the loss of about 2,500 cattle due to heavy snowfall and cold weather in these provinces.

Sources in Badghis said that at least 1,800 cattle were lost in Moqar, Tagab Alam, Dareh Bom and Jund districts of this province due to heavy snowfall, cold weather and lack of fodder.

Local Taliban officials in Baghis have also confirmed the loss of more than a thousand cattle in this province.

Meanwhile, the Taliban in Faryab have reported the loss of 250 cattle due to the cold weather and heavy snowfall in this province.

Asmatullah Moradi, the spokesman of the Taliban governor in Faryab, said that these casualties were caused to people’s livestock in the Qormqul district of this province.
