20 people died due to heavy snowfall and extreme cold in Afghanistan
Janan Saiq, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Combating Natural Disasters of the Taliban, says that in the past 12 days, at least 20 people have died due to heavy snowfall and severe cold in the country, and 14 others have been injured.
The driver announced this statistic in a video message.
He added that in the last two days, four people died in different provinces due to heavy snowfall and rain, and nine others were injured.
Sayeg stated that in the last few days, 452 houses were destroyed and more than 5,253 animals were destroyed.
According to information, the most casualties and damages have been caused to the residents of Kabul, Balkh, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Herat, Badakhshan, Helmand, Ghor, Laghman, Uruzgan, Zabul, Paktia, Paktika, Khost and Samangan provinces.
