Afghan athletes left for Italy to win the boxing quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics

Four male boxers and one female athlete from Afghanistan, with two coaches and supervisors, left for Italy to participate in the boxing competition to win a quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Boxing competitions for the Olympic quota will be held in Italy with the participation of boxers from different countries.More than 500 athletes from 120 countries participate in these competitions, and four boxers from each weight can qualify for the Paris Olympics.Suleiman Aslami will enter the ring with a Belgian boxer in the first competition on March 4th at the weight of 80 kg.Abdul Qadir Ghafar in the weight of 92 kg will compete against the winning athlete of Turkmenistan or Vietnam in the first match on the 7th of March.Shirzad Ahmad will also compete with the winner of two athletes from Iraq and Spain on the 7th of March in the weight of 63.5 kilograms.Mohammad Mehdi Sohak will hold his first competition with the winner of the German and Palestinian athletes on the 8th day of Marj in the weight of 57 kg.​
