Taliban Ministry of Education announces opening of two religious schools in Herat

وزارت معارف طالبان افتتاح دو مدرسه دینی در هرات را اعلام کرد

The Taliban Ministry of Education has announced the opening of two religious schools in Herat, emphasizing the establishment of such institutions across the country.

According to the ministry, Mawlawi Habibullah Agha, the acting head of the ministry, traveled to Herat on Saturday and inaugurated two religious schools there.

The combined value of these schools amounts to over 10,700,000 Afghanis.

During his visit to Herat, the Taliban minister urged the local population to send their children to religious schools and educational centers. These two schools are located in two earthquake-affected villages in the Zinda Jan district of Herat.

Previously, some families in the region had complained about the lack of access to educational materials and proper school buildings for students.

A powerful earthquake last year in Herat resulted in significant loss of life and property damage, affecting dozens of schools in the province. As a result, many students, particularly in the affected areas, are currently studying under makeshift tents.
