A 29-year-old innovator from Daikundi province has created 20 agricultural tools that have simplified farmers’ work. Reza Salahshur, who has been working in this field for nearly 10 years, has built tractors that are more durable and less expensive than imported models. Akbar, a 50-year-old local farmer, says: “It plows the land well; when it plows well, it yields good harvests.”
Reza Salahshur has so far built 22 tractors, a thermal generator, and a power device that are being used in many fields and homes. According to local farmers, these tools are more compatible with their needs and much cheaper than imported versions. Shamsullah Sidiqi, another Daikundi resident, explains: “A cow requires maintenance and expenses. But with these tractors, you just add fuel and use them.”
Agricultural and economic experts say that using modern equipment plays an important role in improving farmers’ performance. Nasir Rishtia, an economic expert, believes: “Production forms the backbone of a country’s economy” and can prevent currency outflow, create job opportunities, and contribute to economic growth. However, Reza faces economic challenges and says: “My only problem is financial. These devices require significant financial resources.”
