Khanjan Alkozi, a member of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says that Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan have stopped exporting TC-1 fuel to Afghanistan three months ago.

Alkozi warned that if this problem is not solved, the supply of airplane fuel in Afghanistan will face serious problems. He emphasized that there is no alternative source for supplying this type of fuel for the Afghan market in the region.Previously, Afghanistan imported two to three thousand TC-1 fuel tankers from Turkmenistan every month, and major airlines such as Ariana and Kamair were among its main consumers.

According to Alkozi, the contracted companies have transferred the money to Turkmenistan for the purchase of fuel, but this country refuses to continue exporting it to Afghanistan. Meanwhile, the chamber of commerce member revealed that a contract company had bought some fuel from Belarus at a high price to avoid delays in the process of transporting pilgrims. However, Belarus is also unwilling to continue exporting TC-1 fuel to Afghanistan.
