Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha is set to tie the knot with her boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal, on June 23. Her father, Shatrughan Sinha, has now responded to rumors about the family’s absence at the wedding ceremony.
Various reports suggested that Sonakshi’s family, particularly her father, would not attend her wedding. However, the veteran actor-politician has dismissed the rumors.
In his recent interview, Shatrughan Sinha expressed pride in his daughter and stated that he will be present at the wedding to bless the couple. He called himself his daughter’s strongest pillar of strength and told those spreading rumors about family tensions to “mind their own business.”
The popular actor complimented his daughter’s choice and said they make a good-looking pair. He added, “Sonakshi and Zaheer have to live life together. They look very nice together.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer are expected to have a court marriage on June 23 under the special marriage act. Earlier, a wedding invite carrying voice notes from the couple went viral on social media, leading to much speculation about the celebration. This marks the first time a member of Sonakshi’s family has made a positive statement about her wedding in the media.
