The Afghanistan Freedom Front has claimed that following an attack by its forces on a Taliban checkpoint in Kabul, five fighters of the group have been killed.
The front announced in a video posted on the social network X that the attack took place on the evening of Monday, June 24th, near the Alaoddin intersection in the 6th district of Kabul city. According to the statement, two other Taliban fighters were also injured in the attack.
Earlier, sources in Kabul had reported hearing the sound of an explosion in the city. The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan had also previously claimed to have killed two Taliban fighters in a separate attack on one of the group’s outposts in the Sarai Logar area of the 9th security district of Kabul. Another Taliban member was injured in this attack.
The Taliban group has not yet commented on these two attacks.
