Why is ‘Welcome 3’ being made without Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor?

“Welcome to the Jungle”, the third part in the “Welcome” film series, will feature a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, and Paresh Rawal. However, two beloved characters from the previous films, Uday Bhai played by Nana Patekar and Majnu Bhai played by Anil Kapoor, will not be reprising their roles.

In an interview, Nana Patekar revealed that the filmmakers approached them, but he and Anil Kapoor decided not to repeat their roles. He said, “There’s no story in Welcome 3. It didn’t have the enjoyment it should have.” Patekar believes that without him and Kapoor together, making “Welcome” is not possible.

“Welcome to the Jungle”, directed by Ahmed Khan who made “Baaghi 2”, was scheduled to release on December 20, 2024. However, due to production delays, the release has been postponed. The film also stars Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Lara Dutta, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, and Mika Singh. Sanjay Dutt was also set to play a pivotal role but backed out citing health reasons.
