Pakistan Army: We Will Take Action Against Threats from Afghanistan
The Pakistan Army announced in a press release on Tuesday, July 18, that eight Pakistani soldiers were killed in a group attack by the Hafiz Gul Bahadur faction of the Pakistani Taliban on a military center in the city of Bannu.
The press release stated that ten attackers were also killed during the clash.
The Pakistan Army emphasized that the country’s armed forces will continue to defend Pakistan’s soil and people against the threat of terrorism and will take all necessary measures against these threats emanating from Afghan soil.
This deadly attack on the Bannu military center has heightened concerns about the activity of insurgent groups in the border regions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
