Taliban’s Diplomatic Isolation: Muttaqi Excluded from Official Photo
Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban group’s foreign minister, faced restrictions at the 50th meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s foreign ministers in Cameroon.
He was not allowed to participate in the official opening photo.
This incident echoes a similar occurrence in 2021 in Islamabad. Three years after the Taliban took control of Kabul in August 2021, member countries of this organization continue to refrain from recognizing the Taliban group, indicating the group’s ongoing diplomatic isolation.
