Rejecting India’s Claim of Bangladesh Similarity to Afghanistan
Mohammad Younus, the interim leader of Bangladesh, has rejected India’s claim that his country would resemble Afghanistan without former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s leadership.
According to PTC News on Friday, September 6, Younus urged India to set aside these claims and focus on bilateral relations. He emphasized that India’s perception of recent attacks on the Hindu minority in Bangladesh is mistaken, stating that these attacks were “more political than communal.”
Younus also called for Sheikh Hasina to remain silent until Bangladesh requests her return.
