Pakistan Defense Minister Blames India and Taliban for Deadly Quetta Attack
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has accused India of waging a proxy war against Pakistan through the recent deadly attack in Quetta. The minister pointed fingers at the Afghan Taliban for their alleged “complicity and oversight” in allowing Pakistani territory to be used for such attacks, declaring it an “act of aggression against Pakistan.”
The attack, carried out by the Baloch Liberation Army, resulted in approximately 30 deaths and over 60 injuries. Most victims were reportedly members of the Pakistani military. The incident has heightened tensions between Pakistan and its neighbors, with officials expressing particular concern about the security of Chinese nationals and projects in the country.
Minister Asif also highlighted that Chinese citizens in Pakistan have been targeted multiple times over the past year, including recent incidents in Karachi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He emphasized that these attacks are part of a broader strategy to destabilize Pakistan and force Chinese investors to leave the country.
