Cricket Star Rashid Khan Condemns Ban on Girls’ Health Education

Afghan cricket sensation Rashid Khan has strongly criticized the Taliban group’s recent decision to close all health science institutes for Afghan girls, expressing his deep concerns through social media.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Khan emphasized that seeking knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim, regardless of gender. He stated, “The closure of health science institutes for Afghan girls has left me disheartened. The images of our sisters and mothers circulating on social media are painful to watch.”
The cricket star’s statement comes at a time when Afghan girls have been denied their rights to education, work, and sports in public spaces for over three years, with their schooling limited to sixth grade only.
