The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRF) has rejected the recent United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) report regarding civilian casualties. In a statement released on Tuesday, the Front labeled the information in UNAMA’s report as biased and reliant on Taliban sources.
UNAMA had claimed in its report that one civilian was killed and eleven others were wounded in two separate NRF attacks in Takhar province and Kabul. The Resistance Front, while denying these allegations, urged UNAMA to maintain its credibility and conduct impartial investigations.
The Resistance Front, led by Ahmad Massoud, which is one of the active anti-Taliban military groups, announced that it conducted 22 operations in January 2025, eliminating 35 Taliban members. Meanwhile, the Taliban group has refrained from commenting on these claims.
