He is survived by:
- Sons: Wahid Samadzai and Engineer Wahab Samadzai
- Daughters: Sima Abrar Formuly, Maliha Attaie, Zohra Qiam, and Hela Javid
- Daughter-in-law: Nadia Noori
- Brothers: Abdul Jamil Samadzai and Abdul Hakim Samadzai
- Sisters: Aziza Shalemi, Karima Arefi, and Najiba Rahmani
- Sons-in-law: The late Abrar Formuly, Al-Hajj Naser Attaie, Maroof Qiam, and Hamid Javid
