Salman Khan’s “Sikandar” has nearly reached the century mark in just four days. After earning impressive numbers during the first two holiday releases, the film maintained strong performance on Tuesday and Wednesday. Despite facing a significant drop, the action film still managed to score double-digit earnings on its fourth day.
The film collected 30.06 crore on its opening Sunday, followed by its highest single-day collection of 33.36 crore on Eid Monday. Tuesday brought in 23.02 crore thanks to Basi Eid benefits, while Wednesday added another 11.74 crore during Tiwasi Eid. The total now stands at 98.18 crore, which appears decent despite extremely negative online reactions.
Produced on a budget of 200 crore, “Sikandar” has already recovered 49.09% of its production cost. While the film needs to earn another 101.82 crore to break even, which won’t be easy, it has a fighting chance to reach the safe zone with no major releases competing this week. A weekend jump followed by steady weekday performance could help the Salman Khan starrer recover its budget through domestic earnings.
