Following the deviation of a 580-type vehicle from the road on the main highway in Khulm district, three people died and 33 others, including women and children, were injured. The incident occurred Tuesday morning at the Golai Kaftarkhana area, on the Samangan-Balkh highway.
Local Taliban officials in Samangan said that the injured have been transferred to the provincial hospital. They also attributed the cause of the accident to driver negligence.
According to reports, the majority of traffic accidents in Afghanistan occur due to poor road conditions, non-compliance with traffic rules, and driver carelessness, resulting in significant human and financial losses.
