Wang Yi, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Amir Khan Muttaqi, the foreign ministers of China, Pakistan, and the Taliban, met in an informal trilateral meeting in Beijing.
During this meeting held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, the parties reached an agreement on regional security cooperation and the expansion of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor into Afghanistan.
The foreign ministers emphasized the importance of trilateral cooperation as a vital platform for enhancing regional security and economic connectivity.
They also discussed increasing diplomatic engagement, strengthening communications, and taking practical steps to develop trade and infrastructure as key drivers of shared prosperity.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, officials reaffirmed their joint commitment to counter terrorism and strengthen regional stability. It was also agreed that the sixth trilateral meeting would be held in Kabul in the near future.
