Paresh Rawal has officially stepped away from the much-anticipated ‘Hera Pheri 3’, returning his ₹11 lakh advance with 15% annual interest and an extra goodwill amount to the producers.

Reports say he was promised ₹15 crore, but most of the payment would come only a month after the film’s release. With principal photography pushed to next year and a possible release in December 2026 or even 2027, Paresh chose not to wait and exited the project.

His departure has sparked legal friction, with Akshay Kumar’s production house reportedly seeking ₹25 crore in damages. The ‘Hera Pheri’ franchise is beloved by Bollywood fans, and Paresh’s role as Baburao was a major highlight. Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan, and Suniel Shetty have all reacted to the news.

Meanwhile, on his 57th birthday, Akshay Kumar announced his new film ‘Bhooth Bangla’, sharing a spooky first look and expressing excitement over reuniting with Priyadarshan after 14 years.
