A young man named Hanifullah from Sheikh Amir village in Garbaz district of Khost province has taken his own life.
The suicide occurred on Tuesday, June 16, 2025. While the exact motivation behind this tragic act remains unclear, Hanifullah’s relatives have cited economic difficulties as the primary reason for his decision to end his life.
Reports indicate that the Taliban group in Khost has prohibited people from expressing condolences to families of suicide victims and has banned religious clerics from participating in their funeral ceremonies.
