The Meteorology Department of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Taliban group has warned of potential heavy rainfall and flash floods in six provinces across the country.
This forecast has been issued for Thursday, July 3, 2025, affecting the provinces of Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Paktia, Khost, and Paktika.
According to the department, rainfall amounts in various areas of these provinces are estimated to be between 10 to 20 millimeters.
Additionally, strong winds accompanied by dust storms with speeds of 50 to 80 kilometers per hour are expected in the southern and western provinces of the country.
This warning comes as recent days have witnessed devastating floods due to heavy rainfall in several Afghan provinces, resulting in loss of lives and substantial financial damages.
In these incidents, at least five Afghans have lost their lives across 10 provinces.
