The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has reported that between February and the end of April 2025, the National Resistance Front and the Afghanistan Freedom Front carried out a total of 72 attacks against the Taliban group.

Of these, the Resistance Front was responsible for 56 attacks and the Freedom Front for 16 attacks.

The Afghanistan Freedom Movement has also claimed responsibility for three attacks in April, while 11 other attacks were recorded without identifying the perpetrator.

The United Nations has confirmed three attacks targeting the Ministry of Interior in Kabul, Nijrab district in Kapisa, and Bagram Airfield in Parwan, respectively. The exact casualty figures from these attacks have not been specified.

Armed groups opposing the Taliban accuse the group of human rights violations, suppression of civil liberties, and establishing a mono-ethnic regime without public participation. These attacks are considered part of the scattered resistance following the fall of Kabul in August 2021.
