The family of Zulala Hashemi, an Afghan singer, told Zarrin Global Television that 48 days have passed since her disappearance, but the Taliban group has not made any serious effort to find her.
According to the singer’s family, the Taliban have not cooperated with them even in detaining suspicious individuals and have not shared any information about their actions with the family.
A family member said: “Taliban security agencies have not provided any explanation about their efforts to find Zulala since her disappearance and are not sharing details of the incident with us.
” Previously, her relatives had stated that the Taliban pressured them to say that the singer was not abducted but had run away from home on her own.
Sayed Mohsen Hashemi, Zulala’s husband, said in a video sent on June 18, 2025, that Zulala was kidnapped in Kabul 15 days earlier.
Zulala Hashemi has a four-year-old son who, according to her family, is not in good health. She rose to fame in Afghanistan through her participation in the music program “Afghan Star” on private “Tolo” TV, reaching the final stages of the competition.
