A document obtained by Zarrin Global Television reveals that the Taliban group is paying salaries and food allowances to their members who have clearance and reduction forms, while many former defense ministry officers have been dismissed without pay.
According to this document, Mullah Yaqoob, Taliban’s defense minister, has instructed officials to process these payments from July 22 to September 21, 2025.
The document also states that employees who have been reduced and are not Taliban members, and whose forms have not been approved, should be referred to the active reserve of the Identification Department.
Based on a plan presented by Mullah Hibatullah, the Taliban leader, any member removed from the organization should receive 5,000 Afghanis monthly as a food allowance while staying at home.
This decision was made after US aid to Afghanistan was suspended. Meanwhile, many Taliban members are dissatisfied with the form approval process, claiming that the clearance commission operates based on connections and personal relationships rather than merit.
