A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged after causing a disturbance on an EasyJet flight from London Luton Airport to Glasgow on Sunday.
In a video circulating on social media, the man can be seen shouting “Death to America, Death to Trump” and “Allahu Akbar,” which means God is great in Arabic .
According to reports, the passenger had threatened that “I’m going to bomb the plane” before being tackled to the ground by other passengers.
Some travelers were shocked and frightened, with some even being reduced to tears.
After the plane landed at Glasgow Airport around 8:20 AM on Sunday, police boarded the aircraft and removed the handcuffed suspect .
Police Scotland stated that the incident was contained and no one else was involved. Counter-terrorism officers are currently assessing the videos that have been circulating online.
The 41-year-old man is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, July 28, 2025 . EasyJet also emphasized that the safety and wellbeing of their customers and crew is always their highest priority .
