Early launch rumors for Xiaomi’s 16 Ultra are gaining momentum.

While the brand traditionally releases its Ultra phones in Q1, new speculation suggests a late 2025 debut alongside the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro in China.

These rumors gained credibility after Lu Weibing, Xiaomi Group President, hinted at the upcoming device on Weibo, calling it a “new height of mobile imaging.” The camera setup is expected to include a 50MP primary sensor, 200MP periscope telephoto lens, and 50MP Sony ultra-wide sensor, all enhanced with Leica tuning.

Beyond photography, the Xiaomi 16 Ultra is expected to deliver a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, and a 7,000-7,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging.

In South Asia, the device will likely arrive in early 2026, priced similarly or slightly higher than the 15 Ultra, which launched at 110,000 AFN.
