Shah Rukh Khan, who has dominated Bollywood for over 32 years, has no plans to retire anytime soon.

During his #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, August 16, 2025, a user suggested he should retire due to his age, saying, “Brother, you’ve grown old now, retire and let younger people move forward…”

The 59-year-old superstar shot back with a witty response: “Brother, when the childishness of your questions goes away… then ask something good! Until then, please stay in temporary retirement yourself.

” Khan, who recently won his first National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in “Jawan,” is currently recovering from an injury he reportedly sustained while filming his upcoming project “King.”

After the National Award announcement, Khan appeared in a heartfelt video message with his arm in a sling, saying, “Needless to say I’m overwhelmed with gratitude, pride and humility. To be honoured with the National Award is a moment that I will cherish for a lifetime.

” Despite his injury, the actor promised fans he would soon return to theaters.
