The Taliban Defense Minister, at the 106th anniversary of Afghanistan’s independence, noted that Afghans have gained independence three times in the last century but have failed to preserve it each time.

On the independence anniversary, the Taliban Defense Minister emphasized collective unity based on “Islamic identity and Afghan nationality,” stating: “Here, Islamic and Afghan identity matter, and prejudice should not be allowed.
” He also stressed that their forces “will not be used to benefit any power against another power.”
The senior Taliban official reiterated the need to prevent foreign intervention in Afghanistan’s affairs, adding:
“We have no ill intentions toward anyone; we want good relations with the entire world. We must remain vigilant against foreign conspiracies and stand against their malicious actions, not allowing anyone to interfere in our affairs.”
