The health official of Dand District in Kandahar claims he was removed from his position by Dr. Gul Mohammad Osman, head of Kandahar’s Public Health Department, as part of a scheme to vacate the post for his son-in-law.
In a letter written to the security commandership of Dand District, he was asked to provide information about his 20-day absence.
Then in the same letter, Dr. Gul Mohammad Osman wrote back that based on his information, the mentioned person had been arrested on charges of theft.
The Taliban security commandership for Dand District responded in the same official letter that they had no information about him.
The mentioned person says this is a scheme by Kandahar Public Health Director Dr. Gul Mohammad Osman to remove him, citing contradictions in information written by the security commandership and Dr. Osman.
Similar complaints of widespread corruption and chaos are also being raised in the Kandahar Public Health Department.
