The Ministry of Public Works under Taliban administration announced that construction has begun on a bridge worth over 60 million Afghanis across the Kokcha River in Badakhshan province.

This important infrastructure project is taking place in northeastern Afghanistan.


Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, ministry spokesperson, said the bridge will connect Argo district with the main city of Badakhshan.

The new bridge will be constructed with a length of 80 meters and width of 9.9 meters.


Upon completion of this project, transportation problems between these two districts will be resolved and regional connectivity will improve.

This bridge will play an important role in the economic and social development of the region.
