Emirates Airlines has prohibited the use of power banks on all flights effective October 1, 2025.

This decision follows a comprehensive safety review prompted by rising lithium battery-related incidents across the aviation industry.

Passengers can carry one power bank under 100 watt-hours in cabin baggage but cannot use it to charge electronic devices during flight.

The restriction also includes charging the power bank itself using aircraft’s in-seat power supply.

The new regulation aims to mitigate fire risks associated with lithium-ion batteries while maintaining passenger safety standards.
