The Taliban’s Information and Culture Department in Badakhshan has ordered drivers and vehicle owners to remove all “un-Islamic and uncultural” words and phrases written on car windows .

This decision was issued on September 28th based on the committee implementing the “promotion of virtue and prevention of vice” law.
Local media, traffic management, transport departments, and Taliban security institutions are required to implement this decision.

However, the Taliban group has not specified which words are considered “Islamic” and which are “un-Islamic.”

This new restriction comes as the Taliban has imposed similar limitations on culture and social life in recent months .

Activists say such measures not only violate individual freedoms but also increase economic and social pressures on drivers and business owners.
