Pakistani police sources announced that Adam Khan, an Afghan imam and resident of Paktia province, was killed Friday in Peshawar by unknown gunmen.
He served as imam at Raza Khan Mosque in the Mariam Zi area and was targeted while returning home on a motorcycle.
Peshawar police stated that important evidence has been collected from the scene and investigations have begun.
The Mariam Zi area is one of Peshawar’s districts with a large population of Afghan refugees.
This incident occurs amid several similar attacks against Afghan figures in Peshawar.
