Keir Starmer, Britain’s Prime Minister, began his two-day visit to India on Wednesday.
Over one hundred business, cultural, and academic leaders are accompanying the British Prime Minister on his trip to New Delhi.
This visit aims to support and promote the recently signed UK-India trade agreement.
Britain and India signed a free trade agreement in July during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to London.
The agreement reduces tariffs on goods such as textiles, whiskey, and automobiles while increasing companies’ access to both countries’ markets.
This agreement was signed with the goal of increasing bilateral trade to £25.5 billion by 2040.
