Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud, leader of the Pakistani Taliban group, has rejected rumors about his death by releasing an audio message.
Previously, news sources in Afghanistan had reported that he was killed in an airstrike in Kabul.
In the released audio message, Mehsud assured his survival by mentioning the current date.
This comes after some Pakistani news sources claimed the assassination of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan leader in Kabul.
Pakistani aircraft have targeted not only Kabul but also Nangarhar and Paktia provinces.
Soon, the Pakistani army spokesperson is scheduled to hold a press conference to explain these attacks.
