Varinder Singh Ghuman, renowned Indian bodybuilder and actor known for his roles in Tiger 3, Marjaavaan, and Kabaddi Once Again, passed away due to cardiac arrest in October 2025.
The Punjab native won the Mr. India title in 2009 and secured second place in Mr. Asia competition.
Ghuman was recognized as the world’s first vegetarian professional bodybuilder and became the first Indian to earn an IFBB pro card.
Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed him as a brand ambassador to promote health products across Asia, acknowledging his exceptional talent in the fitness industry.
His acting career began with the 2012 Punjabi film Kabaddi Once Again, followed by appearances in Hindi films including Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans (2014) and Marjaavaan (2019).
His sudden demise has deeply saddened the bodybuilding and film communities, with Punjab Deputy Chief Minister expressing condolences for this celebrated figure.
