Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, met with officials from several Russian companies at his office today.

The Russian company officials expressed readiness to invest in oil and gas exploration and extraction, copper and chromite mining, water management, electricity production, and technical machinery manufacturing in Afghanistan.


These Russian companies announced they are prepared to establish coordination with relevant departments and open their offices in Kabul for swift cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs welcomed the interest of these company officials in investing in the country and assured them of all necessary cooperation.
This meeting demonstrates the expansion of economic relations between Afghanistan and Russia in various industrial and mining sectors, which could pave the way for the country’s economic development.
