Abdul Matin Qane, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Interior Ministry, announced that a fire on Thursday afternoon at a carpentry workshop in the Qala-e-Kashif area of Kabul’s fifth district caused 8.4 million Afghani in financial damage.
Emergency response teams and firefighters from the Interior Ministry were dispatched to the scene and successfully contained the blaze. Despite the financial losses, property worth 15 million Afghani was saved from the fire.
The Taliban group has not yet disclosed the cause of this fire incident. This event represents one of several fire incidents in Kabul that have resulted in significant financial damage for local businesses and residents.
