The Central Bureau of Investigation has given a clean chit to actress Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, stating no evidence was found suggesting she illegally confined, threatened, or abetted his suicide.

The closure report reveals significant details about the final days before the actor’s death on June 14, 2020.


According to the investigation, Rhea and her brother Showik left Sushant’s Bandra apartment on June 8, 2020, and never returned During the six days between their departure and Sushant’s death, he had no conversations with Rhea, only speaking once with Showik via WhatsApp on June 10 The report also clarified that Rhea only took her personal belongings – an Apple laptop and watch gifted by Sushant.
Sushant’s family has rejected the CBI findings, calling the investigation incomplete and planning to challenge the report in court. The case, which became one of India’s most controversial investigations, will be heard again in a Patna court on December 20, 2025.
