The US Pacific Fleet announced that a helicopter and a fighter jet from the US Navy crashed in the South China Sea.

The two incidents occurred separately, approximately 30 minutes apart, during routine operations from the aircraft carrier Nimitz.

Fortunately, all crew members from both aircraft were rescued and are in good health.

No casualties or serious injuries have been reported. The aircraft were conducting standard operational missions when the incidents occurred.
The US Navy emphasized that there were no signs of hostile action or engagement in these incidents.

Recovery operations for the aircraft wreckage are underway, and aviation safety teams have been deployed to the area to investigate the causes of both crashes.
