The Taliban delegation in Istanbul negotiations operates under direct supervision from Kabul authorities and lacks independent decision-making powers.

Sama TV reported that talks have reached a deadlock over Pakistan’s security demands.

Pakistani officials say the Taliban group has refused to accept Islamabad’s logical proposals for controlling border security threats.

Security sources confirmed that Taliban delegation members repeatedly contacted their superiors in Kandahar and Kabul, unable to make decisions without orders.

Host countries have described Pakistan’s position as fair and necessary for regional stability, but efforts to end the negotiation deadlock have so far been unsuccessful.

Pakistan has warned that if the Taliban continues non-cooperation, it will consider other options including border security measures.
