Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, revealed in an interview with journalist Barkha Dutt why she chose to stay away from acting.
She stated she never considered joining movies and was raised by parents who taught her not to pursue something unless she was 100% passionate about it.
The entrepreneur and social advocate admitted that while she respects and loves the film industry, she never wanted to be part of it Navya explained she was always fascinated by tractors and her father’s business work, finding it more exciting than cinema.
She currently runs Project Naveli, a non-profit organization working toward gender equality.
Unlike Navya, her younger brother Agastya Nanda has entered cinema, making his debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies and will next appear in the biographical war film Ikkis.
