Zalmay Khalilzad, former US Special Representative for Afghanistan, welcomed the killing of a senior ISIS-K leader in Peshawar, Pakistan.
He retweeted the news from Taliban media sources, calling it “good news from Pakistan.”
According to reports, Nusrat, known by his aliases Pahlawan Musa and Abu Zar, a key ISIS-K operative, was assassinated by unidentified gunmen in Peshawar.
He was involved in planning several terrorist attacks in Kabul and surrounding provinces during 2022 and 2023.
Khalilzad described the deceased as a key ISIS-K terrorist allegedly responsible for planning major terror attacks in Kabul and surrounding areas. Pahlawan Musa also oversaw a major operational hub called the “Pahlawan Center” in Pakistan and was highly trained in urban and guerrilla warfare, responsible for training recruits abroad.
