Afghan citizens on social media condemned the behavior of Iran’s national futsal team during the Asian Under-17 championship final, calling it “unethical and inappropriate”.
Afghanistan’s team won 2-1, securing their first Asian championship title.
Ahmad Nouri from Kabul stated: “Iran lost, but instead of congratulating, they showed their true face. This victory is a symbol of national pride and honor.
” Samia Azizi from Herat also commented: “Iranian players should learn that sports is not just about winning and losing.”
In the final five seconds of the match, a physical altercation broke out between players from both teams, causing the game to be suspended for several minutes. 
Afghan people celebrated in the streets while condemning Iran’s unsportsmanlike conduct and demanding a response from the Asian Football Federation.
