Bollywood actor Anupam Kher shared an emotional account of meeting Madhu Shah, wife of his late friend Satish Shah, who is battling Alzheimer’s disease.
Kher revealed that Madhu initially recognized him and said “Thank you for coming” before her memory began fading during their conversation.
In a touching moment, Madhu briefly remembered and said with tears in her eyes “Chala gaya” (he has gone) before losing her memory again.
The encounter highlighted the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s on families and the pain of losing loved ones gradually.
Satish Shah passed away on October 25th at age 74 due to cardiac arrest.
Kher promised to continue visiting Madhu regularly and described the hour spent at their home as filled with profound sadness and grief.
